I don’t think we ever had a couple as ready to get down and dirty for a photoshoot as Amelia and BJ. And I mean that in the most literal way possible. Since they are having two wedding ceremonies, we agreed with them that it would be cool to have two engagement shoots. When it started raining unexpectedly before their first one in Tampa, I was worried that they might want to bail and reschedule, especially once I saw them roll up dressed to the nines.
But they said they didn’t mind getting wet and asked if we could still go through with it. Where there’s a will there’s a way. The iconic Tampa Theatre made a beautiful backdrop for a dance under an umbrella, and honestly, I think the shoot was more memorable than it would have been with clear skies.
The second shoot involved colored powder so it couldn’t be done in bad weather, and had to be rescheduled twice (once due to rain and once due to tornado warnings!). But it was worth it. As photographers, we couldn’t ask for a couple more adventurous and agreeable than Amelia and BJ. Moreover, we couldn’t ask for anyone better to spend an afternoon with, playing in the woods. We always tell our clients that they are going to have fun on the photo shoots - Amelia and BJ reminded us how much fun we can have as well. Congratulations to both of them. Their weddings are going to be amazing, and we see them going far.
Thank you both for everything. We appreciated all the hard work you guys put into it!
