Amboise, France and the Loire Valley

    Amboise France, Loire Valley.

The Loire Valley is a peaceful and fertile region of France, known for the slow waters of the Loire River, and the many chateaux that are nestled along its shores. We made the small town of Amboise our home for a week, and spend our time relaxing as we rolled through the countryside photographing the beautiful mansions and castles. It’s an incredible place for a road trip, or even just a little down time sipping wine and enjoying the quiet. Here’s everything we’ve written so far about Amboise and the Loire Valley of France.

Amboise, France in Early Summer: Tips and Photography

Amboise, France is a quiet river town with a big castle. We spent a week relaxing there, listening to the river, enjoying the wine, and exploring the countryside. It was part of our month long road trip that took us from Paris to Provence and back again. There is nothing we would change about Amboise. From the medieval architecture to the happy people, we felt completely welcome and completely at ease.

Loire Valley Chateaux: Photographing the Valley of Kings

While we were in the Loire Valley, we spent much of our time driving up and down the banks of the Loire River, enjoying the fresh air and exploring a few of the region’s 300+ chateaux. In this post, we show off some of our favorite photos and share where, when and how we took them. If you’ve ever looked at promotional photos and wondered whether the real thing stood up to the image, this guide will help you convince yourself that the Loire Valley is one of the most photogenic places on Earth!
